According to Roadrunner Records, Zakk Wylde (BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, OZZY OSBOURNE), Herman Li and Sam Totman (DRAGONFORCE) cleaned house and kicked ass, winning most of the categories in the 2007 Guitar World Readers' Poll. Let's break down just how much ass they actually kicked: Zakk Wylde won the awards for "Most Valuable Player", "Snappiest Dresser" and shares the "Best Cover" award for gracing the September 2006 issue alongside SLAYER's Jeff Hanneman and Kerry King. Zakk absolutely trounced the competition in the categories he won, winning by margins as large as 54%!!! DRAGONFORCE's Herman Li and Sam Totman made a strong showing, cleaning up practically every other category. The shred-tacular duo won for "Best New Talent" (winning by 70%), "Best Metal", "Best Riff" and "Best Shredders". Herman and Sam even had a run-in with Zakk, narrowly beating him in the "Best Metal" category.
