Finland's Nightwish has completed work on a pre-production recording of the tracks that are set to appear on the band's upcoming sixth album, tentatively due mid-2007. According to the latest entry on the group's official Video Blog that gives the fans a behind-the-scenes look at its songwriting sessions, NIGHTWISH will reconvene in September to make final changes to the songs before commencing the recording process for the new album.
NIGHTWISH is currently seeking a replacement for departed singer Tarja Turunen before entering the studio to begin recording the follow-up to 2004's "Once".
