An old school book owned by John Lennon is to be sold at Auction and is expected to fetch more than £90,000.
The book was used by Lennon at the age of 12 and contains drawings by the legendary Beatle from his time at Quarry Bank High School, Liverpool.
His teacher at the time Lancelot Burrows was so impressed by the watercolour and pencil pictures that he has kept them since 1952.
The cover of the book carries the moniker "My Anthology" and each drawing is marked out of ten. It is to be sold by Sotheby's next month as a manuscript.
Tessa Milne of Sotheby's told icLiverpool: "Mr Burrows was a key influence on the young John Lennon and encouraged him to pursue his artistic and literary interests. These drawings are remarkably accomplished for one so young, and the book is a wonderful example of Lennon's emerging artistic talent."
