Foo Fighters have revealed details today of their long-awaited acoustic tour, which will mark a change from the band's traditional rock arena show.
Frontman Dave Grohl, who recently enjoyed the birth of his first child, will lead the four piece rock outfit to seven dates in total, playing large venues in major cities.
The tour will kick off July 11 in Seattle at the Paramount Theatre, following the band's European festival commitments, and go onto shows in Berkeley, san Diego, Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Chicago.
Joining the regular line-up will be Petra Haden on violin, Rami Jaffee on keyboards, Drew Hester on percussion and former bandmate Pat Smear on guitar.
Pixies' Jack Black will support during the August dates, with musician Timmy Curran on board for the July shows.
