The Pulse of Radio reports that LINKIN PARK is looking at a mid-July start for its next Projekt Revolution tour, vocalist Mike Shinoda has told MTV.com. Shinoda revealed that the group is still lining up bands for the festival-type trek, which will be environmentally-friendly like all of LINKIN PARK's recent excursions. Shinoda said, "More information about the tour will be coming out soon, but we have some great hopes for some bands we want to be on it. We want to follow up last year's tour with something that's cool." Shinoda also mentioned that Projekt Revolution will be headed overseas for the first time, with rap superstar Jay-Z joining the tour on its U.K. stops.
Last year's Projekt Revolution lineup featured MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE, TAKING BACK SUNDAY, HIM and others. LINKIN PARK singer Chester Bennington told The Pulse of Radio that the tour aims to present as wide a range of music as possible. "The whole idea behind Projekt Revolution is the fact that we enjoy all different styles of music, and so do our fans," he said.
