Metallica is close to finishing an as-yet-untitled album produced by Rick Rubin, their first full-length since 2003's fan-dividing St. Anger. According to a BBC 6 interview with drummer Lars Ulrich, the band's "got six weeks [of recording] left and it should be out in September. That's the idea right now."
In other Metallica news, the band is expected on the road this summer. Where they'll be playing is still a mystery, though.
