According to billboard.com My Chemical Romance is planning to parade itself around the world for the rest of the year. The group is currently on the first North American leg of its tour behind thw 2006 concept album "The Black Parade" and plans to hit the U.K. and Europe and probably the rest of the world before the year ends.
"The rest of the year is just going to be us out on the road and trying to get to as many places as we can and bring the music to people who have never heard it," guitarist Ray Toro tells Billboard.com. "We've never been to China. We've never been to South America. There's a lot of places My Chemical Romance hasn't played a show yet."
Toro says the group has been filming all of its shows, which start with a performance of the entire "The Black Parade" album. MCR hopes to bring in someone to shoot some behind-the-scenes footage and possibly document the tour with a DVD.
There are still discussions about a film adaptation of "The Black Parade" as well, but Toro says that remains on the back burner for now. "We're very conscious of spreading ourselves too thin," he says. "If the opportunity does come about where we can really do it the right way, it's something we would look into. But right now we're concentrating on the touring side; that's where this band really thrives and where we have the most fun."
