Evanescence takes its show to Canada

Category: Upcoming tours Posted: 10.12.2006
Evanescence continues to back its latest album, this year's "The Open Door," which debuted at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 album chart and has been certified platinum, signifying 1 million copies shipped. The new album follows the band's multi-platinum, 2003 debut, "Fallen," which earned the group two Grammy nominations.

Earlier this year, Evanescence broke in new bassist Tim McCord, formerly of Revolution Smile, on the North American tour circuit. He replaced William Boyd, who left the group over the summer.

McCord and the rest of the Evanescence--frontwoman Amy Lee, drummer Rocky Gray, and guitarists John LeCompt and Terry Balsamo--are finishing out 2006 by playing radio-station festivals. The group's currently confirmed US and Canadian dates are below.

December 2006

10 - Universal City, CA - Gibson Amphitheater (KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas)
15 - New York, NY - Madison Square Garden (Z100 Jingle Ball)

January 2007

5 - Montreal, Quebec - Bell Centre
6 - Quebec City, Quebec - Colisee Pepsi Arena
8 - Toronto, Ontario - Air Canada Centre
10 - Ottawa, Ontario - Scotiabank Place
13 - Winnipeg, Manitoba - MTS Centre
15 - Calgary, Alberta - Pengrowth Saddledome
16 - Edmonton, Alberta - Rexall Place
18 - Vancouver, British Columbia - Pacific Coliseum
