Anyone who wants to play drums first off need rhythym and i'm talking about a full kit. First off i've been drumming for 3 years and my dad drums in a local band in Akron. Words of wisdom, anything you play, you should play it slowly then speed up. Start with simple standard beats, like "We Will Rock You" and other standard rock beats. When u start drumming don't look at tabs listen to your music and try to play along. After u do that u can look at a tab and try to understand the drums being played. Tabs don't ussually have a good rhythym.
