Crazy Backstage Stories & Rock Star Encounters

This is an oppurtunity to share a crazy story involving backstage wacky encounters with famous rock stars. Or even if you just want to shamelessly brag that you met a particular someone.

Here's my crazy pop star story. I have many but this is one I believe will get the most enjoyment.

Back in 1982, when the new wave thing was hitting America and MTV was new, mega MTV pop star, Adam & The Ants came to my town. I was in no way a fan, but I was working at a radio station and was there on assignment to write a review (plus my girlfriend that Adam Ant was hot looking).

A girl friend of mine was there (whose name I won't mention) who loved Adam Ant and thought he was really hot looking. She wanted to meet him and possibly sleep with him, so after the show, she began to beg a roadie to let her backstage. This roadie was one of those fat, hairy, gross looking dudes that you always see at shows. Seeing an oppurtunity for sexual gratification, he told her that if she gave him head, he'd give her an all access backstage pass that would allow her to go anywhere the band was. She promptly dropped to her knees and began blowing the dude. She finishes him off, rises to her feet and asks, "okay, you promised me a backstage pass." The roadie then replied, "Now get the fuck out of here you stupid bitch!" and never gave her a backstage pass.

Excuse me, but when did good taste and rock and roll ever co-exist? Of course it was a sick story -ROCK AND ROLL IS A SICK AND DISGUSTING ART FORM!!! Songs are written and sung about "Big Ten Inch Record" and "Plaster Caster."

Those who do drugs, smoke weed, get drunk, listen to bands that sing the praises of Satan or do most of the things guys usually do in the rock world, surrender their right to be offended.

Gee, if you guys want good taste, go listen classical music or gospel music. Sheesh!

Okay, I seen to have upset some of you guys with my last story. That was back in my wilder days as a single guy, so I'll tell a more G rated story:

I was at a Steve Vai meet and greet. Everybody was approaching him telling him what a gret guitarist he is. I'm listening to all this and thinking, "gee, I don't want look like such a kiss-ass and say what everyone else is saying."

So I approached him and said, "Steve, this is going to sound kind of stupid and I doubt fan has ever said this to you but I admire your dedication as a father, more than I do your guitar playing. I myself, am a father, and I really respect your involvment with your family. Instead of being a rock star jerk who tries to nail anything that walks his way."

Steve said, "you're right, no one has ever said to me other than family. Thanks, that means allot."

rock and roll isn't about worshipping satan and getting drunk and high... and it is certainly not a disgusting art form...

well, i think calling rock music 'disgusting' is a bit too far. but it certainly is more raw and dirty.

Oh great, another f**kwad who believes that rock and roll worships satan.

Hey, i think i see someone trying to subvert your government by promoting responsible Socialist reform. Better shoot that Red fast before he makes life better for you or we'll all be living under a totalitarian regime which follows none of the ideals that it's original creator had in mind!
