Mine came with 6 ply birch shells for a deep warm sound, My overall opinion? This is the best drum kit value I've ever seen, so I purchased a set. HB Drums lived up to my expectations. I give them a "Good" rating because "Excellent" starts around 3 grand!...

Don't even think about buying this garbage. Poor quality, poor service, and their list of "artists" is an absolute joke. HB Drums compares themselves with the "top name drums" on their site,..... You've got to be kidding me. ...
