Review Yamaha RBX375

Review by Total-bass on 22.1.2006

I got it from a shop called music 2000 After spotting it on the Yamaha webby, i fell in love with it the moment i saw it, good job i was after a 5-string bass or i would have been gutted and brought it any way lol. and for £289 whos complaining

  Features

Visually its awsome, its such a good looking bass. It has 2 humbucking pickups which i think are awsome and it has 24 frets which i cool. Controls- Volume control, panpot and 2-band EQ. So i dont htink its to bad for the money

  Playability

well compared to my last bass this is awsome however ive never tried anything like a geddy lee replica or a JM2 (omg the best bass ever).

24 frets you can reach virtually any note on the bass and for me its playablilty if fine

  Quality

Its well made and its not too heavy like some basses. Its sound quality is good and it generates hardly ang noise. In all it perfoms better than lots of basses that are out on the market.

  Durability

its pretty reliable except i have to retune it after about 10 good sessions on it, but the tuning pegs acan be a djusted with an alan key which comes with it

everything else i.e the trus arm bridge and picks ups dont need any adjust ment they are fine.

Its fine for playing gigs, i tried it with my band lol

  Overall

Overall i think this a great bass, its great for any one who wants a 5-string or even someone who is new to playing bass. Its not too expensive, great value for money. It has met all my expactations and after mastering the 5-string im going to move onto the 6-string (JM2 best bass ever).
