bought at Tim Spearnulls Music City (Great collection of Taylor guitars) Waynesboro VA
Paid $550 (comes with Taylor gig bag) Summer 2003.

I bought this item because good sounding guitar at a very affordable price. I had just had major surgery on colon and this was a gift from wife. I tried several 110s and each had a different sound. This one was the best in my judgement. Great guitar to beat around with (although I treat it like gold). Solid top, laminated sides and back. No pickup although there are 110e models now available. Easy to play, setup out of box was great. I do humidify in case as recommended by Taylor. Guitar is plain design, but I like it that way. It does not have gloss finish (that is okay, prefer gloss top and flat finish elsewhere)

  Playability

Easy to play, a must humidify in dry periods. I do play a set of Martin custom light gauge strings.

  Quality

As I said, it sounds great but not as strong when it comes to volume.

  Durability

Never adjusted. I play it around the house no longer at live gigs. I do believe that it would work well live but not as ax, (Play soft not hard) Volume is medium, tone and clarity is great.

This is a great guitar for the money. I would not waste my money on a cheap guitar. Even though this is a less expensive Taylor, still worth buying. Would make a good starter guitar or second guitar. Can be used in some live situations. Inulld try it at store rather than ordering online. Different ones can have different sounds.

Other than the really low ranges, it will give you exactly what younullre looking for.
It has a much cleaner sound to other Acoustics Inullve had/played.
Very forgiving

If younullre looking for the best Acoustic guitar for you under $1000.00, you have to give this one a try. Not to mention, it will get better over time, which is something Taylor is known for. Although it is recommended as a backup, "old faithful" to a higher quality guitar, I donnullt see myself needing anything else.
