Excellent Choice of songs but I would trade "Give it Away Now" for "The Zephyr Song", "Suck My Kiss" for "Can't Stop", "Breaking The Girl" for "This Is The Place" and "Higher Ground" for "Tear" Other than those 4 songs, this album kicks serious a_s_s Love "Californication" and "Scar Tissue"

Great Work Chili Peppers

Great variety of all my faves. The best tracks are Under the Bridge, My friends and Fortune Faded. This album is a winner! Highly recomended!

I don't know what they were thinking when they put this record together. I'm glad they've taken enough songs from Blood Sugar Sex Magik (although I Could Have Lied seems to have been forgotten), and a few pre Californication greats, but some of their earlier and better stuff has been left out in favour of poor By The Way work. Universally Speaking is one of their worst songs to date in my opinion, and even the bland Can't Stop or Zephyr Song could easily replace it. Songs like Around the World and Jungleman have been ignored despite showing Flea's bass-playing skill, so I don't know why a second disc wasn't considered.
However, one of my personal favourites, Suck My Kiss is there, along with Scar Tissue, Under the Bridge and Give it Away so maybe it wasn't a waste of time after all. An alright but disappointing tribute to an otherwise phenomenal band, and at least they finally have the recognition they well and truly deserve.
