This was the first worship album produced by the Newsboys to my knowledge...
What makes this album excellent is the fact that they took a few popular Christian worship songs and added their own style to them while maintaining the integrity of the music and the message (chiefly... "In Christ Aone" and "You Are My King"). A few of the songs are originals written by band members, of which "Adoration" is probably the most unique and deepest. It is basically a modern Christmas carol. The message is of the coming of baby Jesus told from the perspective of those "who saw the heaven's testify." They mix in their own melodic line featuring classic lyrics "come let us adore him." "He Reigns" is another well written song that is pure worship. There's no story line, just masses of people giving glory to God. This album was defineately a well structured, beautifully produced CD which could only be accomplished with well intentioned hearts. | |
