Ordered the flea bass from Tre45(musicstore) in norway. Paid 3200$ for it. The reason to me buying a modulus bass was that I have one from before, a q4 I have had since 1988 and it still rocks. Needed a five-string and my choise was obvious to me, a flea it had to be.

The only reason I see to not buying this bass is: are u addicted to the sound of real wooden necks? (warwick) and if yes, dont buy it. This bass has almost any sound U want, and is incredibly versatile. It has a graphite neck that does´nt care what weather or temperature it is, the neck is always stable. I recommend ordering it with a aguilar preamp, it sounds amazingly good. |

Took me a week to get used to the neck (I was a 4 string player before I bought this bass) then it played like a dream. U can adjust the strings really low without buzzing. The B-string sounds excellent and is thight and fast to play on. |

The sound quality is excellent but as I said before, if U are addicted to the sound of wooden necks, this is not your thang. The electronics are completely noiseless and the aguilar preamp sounds like a dream. Sustain from here to eternity, bass that will make buildings collapse and crystal clear tops. |

Only had it for a month but if it lasts as long as my 88model modulus q5 then it will last a lifetime without going asunder. This is quality!!! |

I chose the flea j5 because i have been very satisfied with my old modulus q4 and.. I liked the look of it. It went over my expectations soundwise, it actually sounded better than I hoped for. The playability is excellent and I already love the bass:) |
