Review by a visitor on 15.1.2005

Purchased at local music store about nine months ago. Cost was $39.00.

  Features

Has clean and over drive channels. I needed a practice amp for my office. I needed just enough volume to hear what I was doing, but obviously not enough to drive my staff or the dentist next door crazy. I use the clean channel almost exclusively. Inullm learning the tunes, I need to hear my mistakes (and what I got right)a clean sound is best for that. The amp does a great job bringing the volume up to hearing level with out every one having to listen too. Even though it is clean I seem to have a nice amount of sustain.

Inullm not a fan of the over drive channel.

  Playability

As I have said the clean channel is very good for what it is intended for.

I do not like the over drive channel. My main guitar (Peavey Wolfgang) sounds all fuzzy in a bad way. My Stratocaster sounds minimally better, but still sounds like a childs toy. I donnullt think the over drive even gives much more sustain. I probably havennullt used the over drive five minutes in the months Inullve had it.

  Quality

I think the amp is as good as a small battery amp can be. For my use (learning songs at my office) it works fine. However, I would never use that amp to demonstrate a song for my friends. It would sound embarrassing.

  Durability

Inullve had the amp for several months. Played it in all kinds of environments (handy itnulls battery powered) and it has never given me any problems.

Over all though, I really like the amp. It does exactly what I bought for. Inullve used it for hours upon end and it has become a friend.

I just bought it today at Guitar Center for 35 bucks.

  Features

Controls for volume and tone. Turn the power switch half way and its clean, all the way and its overdrive. Comes with a 9V battery too. Its not too loud so that makes it good for when you want to practice and you dont want to wake anyone up at night. There is also a headphone input and an AC input.

It works just like expected for 35 bucks.

It sounds pretty good as long as you dont turn it up all the way on the OD channel, it gets kind of fuzzy.

  Durability

Ive only had it for a few hours but it feels like its built strong. The belt clip is nice and sturdy.
