I bought the Ibanez SM7 "smashbox" pedal and i love it.I bought it about 2 or 3 months ago from www.music123.com for $53. If your a metal, punk, rock, etc..guitarist, this is perfect. The distortion can be ajusted to so many levels, it is worth the small amount of money you pay.

It has 4 adustable knobs: Drive, Lo, High, Level. This is basicly your EQ and how much distortion you want. One problem i have is the higher the drive is it gives you a buzz when you stop playing, but if you have the drive all the way down you get as much distorion but no buzz when you stop. It also has 2 switchs:switch 1 allows you to decide between more feedback, smooth and a bassy smooth and switch 2 lets you decide between sharp and smooth. It also comes with a battery. |

I dont have any problems in playabilty with it, its just all around good in this area like most pedals it sits there and you step on it but the distortion with this pedal it amazing. |

The sound is very good. I have a danelectro fab tone pedal also which is very good but i prefer to plat this for the fact of that i can ajust it to what i want. smooth, edgy, soft, hardcore, whatever i like. |

This is perfect for playing live. Its light but its a metal material so it takes stompings and the knobs push down into the body so you dont accidently step on them. |

I chose this one because of all the features, the price and the fact that korn used this on their first album.Oh and i almost forgot that its Ibanez. This is such an amazing pedal that im considering getting an effects pedal from Ibanez because im so happy with this one. In my opinion this is 5 stars ***** |
