Review Gibson SG Supreme '57

Review by MTVance on 21.8.2004

I bought this guitar at www.music123.com for $1799.00.

  Features

This guitar has a double cutaway body, dual null57 pickups, a mahogany neck, ebony finger board, split diamond inlays, two volume and tone controls and a three way switch, 1959 slim taper neck shape, tremolo tune-o-matic/stop bar bridge, gibson hardshell case, 22 frets, its about 25" in scale, set-neck neck joint, Neck/headstock binding, and chrome hardware for midnight burst (gold hardware for emeraldburst and lavaburst.)

One thing this guitar doesnnullt have is a pickguard.

  Playability

This guitar is a dream to play. The mahogany slim tappered neck makes fretting and sliding super easy. And I can get wonderful sounds out of it.

  Quality

Quality is so good. The SG is not only beautiful but it sounds like a dream and it practically plays for you. This guitar cannullt make bad players good, but it can make good players awesome. Doesnnullt get much better than the SG

  Durability

Durablity is great. Stays in tune well, and would be excellent for gigs.

  Overall

I think that this guitar is one of the best on the market. I chose this guitar because I wanted a great guitar, and after hearing what others said about it I figured that I would try it. The SG was better than I thought that it would be. Great look, even better sound, and well worth the money. Everyone should own a this guitar.
