I bought my pro reverb in College Station, Texas in 1976. I bought it used for $125.00. I was a student at the time and I didnnullt have much money. $125.00 seemed good for a fender.

I played it fairly hard in college-thru 1977. It stayed in the closet from 1978 until 1983. I used it for about 1 - 2 years fairly steady until 1985. From null85 til 2001 it stayed in the closet. Inullve used it steady since 2001 to present.
Inullve never done anything to the amp. No repairs, tubes, tune-up, adjustment, nothing.
Inullve never had a minutes problem with it. |

I would prefer a more gritty sound, I use some boss pedals to achieve that. I never worry about whether it will perform or not.
I want to upgrade. I would like to find out what itnulls worth as a trade or to sell. |

I got my 1969 Pro Reverb in Paris, Tx 11/06. I paid $500 for it and thought I got a good deal. The store that had it had the speakers wired incorrectly (16 ohm) and out of phase. I didnnullt say anything but fixed that as soon as I got it home. The next day I foiund a home-made speaker cabinet that had 2 1966, gold label, C12Nnulls in it plus an old Fender logo. I picked this up for $20 and put the 1966 C12Nnulls in my Pro, which had some of the new Jensen MOD speakers in it. I felt lucky when I found all this within 2 days time. About all I have are Fender amps from a 1979 Vibro-Champ that had never been out of the store with I bought it in 2005 to a real 1965 Twin Reverb and about everything in between.

Fender has about all the features I use anyway. Good clean, warm tone with the bigger amps and lots of overdrive when you crank the smaller amps. |

I have had a Fender amp since about 1975 and have owned about 100 since that time. No problems, ever. |

My latest Fender purchase was a 1969 Pro Reverb. I own a 1965 blackface Twin (a real one), 1966 Bandmaster, 1969 Bantam Bass, converted to 4-10nulls, 1979 Vibro-Champ and a 1978 Deluxe Reverb. I think thatnulls all I have but I may have one I forgot. I have many other amps but always take a Fender to a gig. |

from jazz to pure to horned fingers in the air metal this will do what you tell it then shine the shoes of everyone in the front row with a smile!! this amp is very special.you can retreave the sounds of those swinging nights in those jazz clubs or hoping on one foot chuck berry licks,or tight texas blues shuffle and the sweat filled cry of "master" in the metal songs we all play (or at least try) the Fender pro reverb will recreate them all with style attitude and ellagance |

from the sound of screaming les puals on 10 (or 11 as spinal tap have it) to hybird picked 6th chords this amp has a very uniquce sound effects sound the way they should the stand out effect is a delay with pan, because the amp has 2x12 speakers so you get wounderful sourrond sound effect. compered to others of the same size and build it holds no contest. as for noise and volume im writinh this from a jailcell after playind zepplins nullblack dog, iron madiens the trooper and metallicas seek and destroy. |

This amp is like a castle, which consiquently, you will nead to drop it off to damage it. dosnnullt need adjusting at all really only if you want a very precise sound.for gigs its fine plug in link up to the p.a. and play, but it dosnt look like no marshall stack! however in the rest of you chaps are not that vain then this certianlly gets the job done and then some! |

i saw one in a local guitar shop and being honest the only reason i played it was my guitar was finished being set up and all the other beasts in the shop had aquiered the marshall stacks so, reluctanly played in and played i was shocked at the attitude this had. surelly this was built for rock only? switched to the neck pick up turned off the distortion and played a jazz progression , what the? how can this thing still sound so good? on with the distortion clapton blues still phoenominal. the only reason i didnnullt hold up the shop manager was i didnnullt have a gun!!. This amp is truly an the king of kings for sound quility and playability the only drawbacks are the lack off built in effects, but lets face it thats what multieffects are for and weight for bed room players the wieght will be very off puting but for true profesonal musicans its alot easier to gig with than those damn 4x12 cabints!! an out n out winner. simply the best better than.... |
