Bought it in late Sept 2005 off eBay. A music store in Canada was liquidating its stock. I paid $1575 shipped. Itnulls brand new, unplayed, and has all tags and case candy.I have read such great things about the EJ and I am a big fan of his so I wanted one. A word about my review: I know we are supposed to be critical and I am, but one thing I do is I always do my research BEFORE I buy so I know what I am getting and what to expect. People who buy a brand X guitar and then give it a bad review because itnulls not a 54 Goldtop need to get hip.

Candy apple red nitro finish, quarter-sawn maple neck with nice flame, custom EJ pickup set based on different vintage Strats, super thin 2 piece alder body with deep contour, very light weight overall, massive trem block, and few other unique touches that EJ insisted on. A very unique Strat. I like that he made Fender wire the bridge PU to the Tone pot and also he dictated a low body weight/mass so they are nice and resonant. |

Super playable, unique neck taper, real bone nut,perfect fret size and .010 strings instead of the horrible.09s every other Fender ships with! The deep body contour makes it feel like the EJ becomes part of me after a while and I can really feel the vibration transfer as I play. I only put the guitar down when I started to get blisters on my blisters. |

The PUs are darker sounding than an average Strat and the difference btw 1st and 2nd blade positions is not as pronounced. I didnnullt like it at first but it really grew on me. The G&G custom blond w/black interior case is an especially nice touch. Finally, the bridge PU is usable. I donnullt want to mod my other Strats so I dig that this one is wired up stock. |

Itnulls a Fender. Toss it off the roof, re-tune , and keep playing. I have a 66 Tele that looks like it had an acid bath but it sounds and plays awesome. I am careful with my gear but I donnullt want to worry about it like itnulls fine crystal, either. |

A hell of a guitar designed by a hell of a player. I own 5 Strats and this one is a keeper! It sounds as bitchinnull as it looks. |
