Purchased used in March 2005 for $230. This is a made in USA model with manufacturing year 2002. I wanted a full feature, 12", tube combo for portability.

The BJ is full featured concerning controls with individual master & gain, 3 band eq, reverb, and a FAT switch. The speaker connection uses a standard 1/4" plug so you can run a different cabinet from the amp section. The FAT selector is foot-switchable. The FAT effect is not dramatic but I find it useful at low volume. I do not use the footswitch because I only use the FAT at low volume. The Eminance speaker is average at best but in line with this price point. November 2005 I replaced the speaker with Jensen P12N alnico & replaced the full tube set with JJs. Total cost installed $175. Total amp cost $405. |

My style of playing is 80% blues rythym/lead & 20% 70s folk-rock. Part-1: Prior to the speaker/tube upgrade this amp met all of my expectations. The cleans are not pristine but I wasnnullt looking for that. The bluesy tones are easy to dial in with the gain & eq. For the rock lead tones I add a Boss SD-1 with great effect. As volume increase the speaker loses tone and becomes raspy. Part-2: With the speaker/tube upgrade this amp is awsome. The sound is full, rich and powerful at all volume levels. The harder your string attach the crunchier it gets. |

I rate excellent with the upgrades. As stock this is still a good value. |

The Fender Blues Junior is a tube amp, 15 watts and can get pritty loud. It has a Reverb, an EQ, Gain, and Volume. It only takes one guitar at a time. |

One of the best feachres of the Fender Blues Junior is the fact that you can take any ware. it is loud and portable, you can use if for most small shows. the sound quality is verry good, not the best of fenders of corce but it is good. |

The Fender Blues Junior, for its size has great sound. It is better that any other amp of its size. the only effect that it has is a reverb however the reverb works great. you can over drive it like most tube amps. |

The Fender Blues Junior is not quite loud enough for a big consert but it could play for a group of at least 100. I have never had it adjusted, it has never had a problem. All in all i think that if you miked it you could play almost any gig. |
