I bought it from a friend for about $100.00 It was one of the first guitars i owned and because it was made by Gibson, then I figured it had to be of some quality.

I dont care for the body style since it is lacking shaped edges at the top etc so your arm is more comfortable. It is also pretty heavy and blocky. |

I have a Gibson Les Paul as my primary guitar and an American Telecaster for a secondary. This guitar is pretty horrible. Playability and action is okm but the sound that comes out if it is very cheap sounding compared to the other two i mentioned... by far. If you are a good guitar player, this will not make you realize the sound you can play. Good for the money though. |

Our rythm guitar player used it for a while. A screw for the strap pin fell out, and the lead socket screw came off. We were not the most careful with this guitar, but still. |

Itnulls ok, but definetly at the bottom of the range when it comes to playing guitar live, recording etc. Great beginning guitar and good for first gigs. Good for the money and at least you know itnulls quality is ok. Itnulls just made cheap with a cheap set up, but made correctly. |

I bought it from a pawn shop US$125 w/HSC in Dec null04. XLnt condition. No fret wear...almost like new save one small ding in the side of the body. Donnullt know how old it is.

Two humbuckers, one volume, one tone, three-way toggle. Simple to operate...thatnulls why I like it. I usually max-out all controlls on the guitar and modulate at the amp, unless I need to power-up for a solo, then Inullll turn up the volume on the amp and turn down the volume a little on the guitar until itnulls solo time. I have all the control I need. |

The action is set very fast (as I like it) with no fret buzz. The frets are a little tall for my liking, put at this price I donnullt think Inullll pay to have them lowered. |

The pickups put out a very pleasant tone; smooth and mellow when I have the neck or both pickups on, or crank it up with the bridge pickup and get raunchy. It plays and sounds much better than a Squire I played. Great blend and sustain. No noise (except what I make). You can bend the pitch a little by flexing the neck...maybe more than Inulld like. |

I had it set-up once by a local guitar shop luthier and have had no problems. It plays steady. Slight intonation problems with light-gauge strings but once itnulls dialed-in it stays there. I donnullt perform gymnastics while playing with it, so...guess Inullm pretty easy on it. |

For me this guitar fills the bill. Nice, compact shape (Les Paul-ish) Good tone. Good looking. For the money, itnulls hard to beat. |

compared to other guitars (that inullve played) it is the best available. i can reach the desired results with it, i can compose and perform on it. i am also satisfied with the stereo effect so that i can play paranoid by black sabbath (hooray!!!). |

it is perfect for live gigs, the clean sound on it sounds almost acoustic so i am able to play chords without a horrible twangy sound. and it hardly ever needs tuning. but it does attract alot of dust, so needs frequent cleaning. |

This Guitar was hand picked from many in my price range from Lakeshore Music in Burlington Ontarion. Roughly $300, but price does vary. I do recommend tring it out as opposed to the Squire which falls into the same price range. I feel that the squire is not quite as " Fenderish" as people would hope it to be, hence its not called fender, but Squire.

The Tone of this guitar is quite surprising for its price. Along with a proper amp and a proper tuning there is nothing to be upset about when it comes to the tone. Looks wise, they have the same shape as a Les Paul but ofcource, many differences. There is no Pick guard because the strings are held uo high, which i happen to lick a bit better than the pick hitting the pick guard. And the 2 humbuckers it comes with completely gets rid of buzzing. And strings are very easy to change for this model, as opposed to the Squire.Other than those first basic things you want to know, it is quite a good guitar, try it out |
