My SG was bought from Stevenulls Music Store in Ottawa, Ontario. I paid 304 dollars so it was a pretty good deal. I wanted something wicked but can perform well. I had a concert in 2 months so I needed to get a guitar soon. The only thing that I didnnullt like was the bridge because I found

When you buy the SG from Epiphone, people might think that it is less quality that a Gibson SG, but think again, I actually prefered the SG from Epiphone than the Angus Young Gibson SG Signiture guitar. For someone crazy, go ahead and buy an Angus or one of those shit ass robot guitars that are like 3,000 dollars but my band and I have a reasonable budget so I walked in and bought the guitar. |

It had some minor problems such as the neck was very sensitive but a quick ajustment at a shop was perfect. The sound quality was about an 8.1 for my Marshall amplifier and my pedals but my overall impression was about a 9.7. Itm performed well and it was an amazing colour also. |

this guitar is very light which is good but can sometimes be a pain because the head weighs the neck down and it is unbalanced. the pickups are unstable and wobbly so im going to change them. sometimes the humbucker switch makes the guitar cut out. |

i have played this guitar next to a lower level fender strat and the two just cant be compared. there is no fret buzz and th guitar is very easy to hold. as with most sgnulls and lpnulls the lower frets are hard to play due to the way the neck is attached to the body. |

I had the guitar set up when it was a year old and played in. It has lasted til now and has only had the machine heads changed after 10 years. The new ones are starting to wear out after 7 years. It rarely gets out of tune except when I play it really hard. I can swop 10s for 9s with no need to change the action. Though the 10s make you work a bit harder. I change the strings reasonably regularly and it does make a difference. the frets atre getting worn now and I am looking to get them dressed soon. The re-fret is not a million miles away. |

Itnulls the easiest and most forgivable guitar I have ever owned. Have had Fender telecaster which weighed a ton. An antoria which was hopeless and noisy. Had a squier bullet for years and the neck warped/twisted. Have a new Squier strat which in only a few days played in, so far after an hour or so setting the trem and action up this is a good cheapo guitar ?95.00. The squier will need the pickups changing after a while to get the tone cracked. Any suggestions? |

If you saw it you would not believe it has been gigged throughout itnulls life. I have debated since new if I should upgrade the pick ups. Hmmm, the jury is still out on that one. I play it every day in my studio or out on the stage. Many guitarist have nullborrowednull it and wanted to buy it. No way Mr. |

I have tried the newer ones and they are too light and feel cheap. Try to find an older one with the neck binding in place. It should be a yellowish colour now. The early 1990 models are excellent guitars and compared to the new ones are more like the real thing than even some modern gibson SGs. Isnnullt that terible. |

I picked this guitar out online, and my mother was conveniently close to Pittsburg Guitars, so she gave me a rang and asked if she should pick it up. I said "Hell yes!" and had it the next morning. We paid $350 for it, which was pretty excellent considering it hadnnullt been played other than routine factory checkups.

Features...well therenulls the beautiful trapezoid mother-of-pearl inlays up the fretboard...the stain on this mofo is mind-boggling. You can stare at it for and hour and have as much fun as if you were actually playing a Sammick or something. Now this may be just me, but so far Inullve had this baby for 4 months and Inullve already gone through 3 packs of strings. I havennullt heard much in regards to this particular fault, so Inullm willing to say that itnulls just the way I play. The dual humbuckers are amazing, but I would throw on some Gibsonnulls just because therenulls nothing like them. The toggle switch switches to the bridge for treble, and the other nullbucker for rhythm. Obviously the middle setting is for both, but I usually donnullt use this setting because I donnullt like the way it sounds. Just personal preference I suppose. The only solid complaint I can bitch about is the top heaviness. Younullll warm up to it, though. Also, the fretboard seems a little loooonger than the average axe, but again, in no time younullll be cranking out the tunes better you did on your fender. |

This. Guitar. Plays. Like. A. Gibson. Period. I donnullt care what anybody says, there is absolutely no difference except for price and pickups. Itnulls marvelous! Extremely solid for the background jamminnull, and as unsolid as you need it to be for those unpredictable, uncontainable solos. BUY THIS GUITAR NOW. |

The solid mahogany body is incredible, looks like no other. I donnullt screw with the tone much, just because. It performs much better than any fender Inullve played, including my friends aftermarket money suck of an American Standard Strat. As inullve said before, it performs just like a Gibson. Generates a tiny bit of noise, but like I said, switch up the humbuckers if you really need to be picky about it. That factor could also be a result of the shitty Fender Frontman Inullm playing out of currently. |

This guitar is a tank. I noticed something weird about the neck though...if you place your hand on the tippy top of the neck, above the tuners, and pull your hand towards your torso, it gives the effect of a slight bend. If you push it away from you, it acts rather like a trem arm. This isnnullt very concrete because for one, Inullve never tested it out on a different guitar, and two, it could just be that i have to tighten up my neck via the dowel nut. Whatever the case may be, it doesnt effect the playability one bit, just something I thought Inulld point out. |

Inullm sure I dont need to write this down, because most of you could have summed it up by my description, but what the hell. I LOVE THIS GUITAR. The shape, the woodgrain, the inlays, the sound...no Inullm not considering a better one because if I was, Inulld have to spend about $1,500. And Inullm 15, so that ainnullt happeninnull. Overall, I was very pleased with the guitar. I would recommend it to everybody and anybody, even if they do have a better guitar, just because of the extremely low price. Rock On! |

I bought the guitar from an ebay .co.uk shop brand knew and untouched still in a sealed box for ?250. I was going to get a crappy westfeild sg but then decided if i wanted a prpoer sound i would have to get an epiphone (or gibson) Epiphone are made by gibson but at a fraction of the price just like squire are made by fender, but what iv heard squires are crap and u canot get a good sound out of them.

i am speachless this guitar is exalent player and is ranked up ther whith the gibsons and the fenders. the fret board and the neck are bueatufull to play and youer fingers can just slde up and down and the low action is great for solos. My only compant is that it is slightley top heavey and takes a whille 2 get ust 2. hers a tip when u av got it on youre strap round ur nek never let go or it will fall 2 the ground. i find if u rest ur forarm on the body of the guitar it helps balens it. |

It can reay make a quality sound if u have rigeed up to a great amp like aline6 or marshall or fender. but the quality of the guitar looks hand crafted. u can get a quality cleen sound out of it whtith plenty of tone of u can pump up the gain and blow ur roof off. |

The Guitar is a beautiful Cherry colour with a black pick-gard. It jas 22 frets with Trapeze inlays, 2 Humbucker pickups, 2 volume knobs (one for each Humbucker), 2 tone knobs, a 3 way toggle switch, and a tune-o-matic bridge.
This guitar is fantastic! The thing that attracted me to this guitar was the shape, the 2 horns are very unique and cool looking. The tune-o-matic bridge makes it really easy to change the Action of the guitar, and the 2 volume knobs can come in handy for different playing styles.
When the toggle switch is down in Treble, the guitar uses the humbucker closest to the fretboard. When its in Rythem, it uses the humbucker closest to the bridge, and when its in the middle, it uses both humbuckers.
The only bad point of the guitar is the fact that it is top-heavy. The guitar headstock will tilt towards the ground if you dont hold it in place. Itnulls not a big deal to me, but just thought you should know. |

This guitar sounds amazing and its easy to use. I used to use a crappy SX Sunburst guitar with dot inlays. Itnulls a bit confusing switching between dot inlays and Trapeze inlays, but after 5 minutes i got used to it. The only problem is; if you have the Action too low and pluck the 22nd fret, the string may touch off the srew holding the Humbucker in place, and create a rattling noise.
I play this guitar with a 20 watt Drive amp (piece of shit) and it sounds great. So it must sound amazing on a Marshall or Line6 or something thats not Drive. |

This guitar will NEVER go out of tune! I tuned it at Christmas and itnulls lasted 2 weeks without re-tuning! I havennullt changed the strings yet as I have no money, but the strings that came with my SG are pretty good. I usually use "Ernie Ball Super Slinky" guitar strings which sound amazing, but the strings I have now will do for awhile.
The guitar is strong i guess, but inullve never dropped it or anything, so i wouldnt know exactly how strong. It doesnnullt finger print easy which is cool, but it does get dusty pretty fast at the bridge and humbuckers. nothing to worry about though.
I would use this guitar at a gig with no back-up, just because it never goes out of tune and its hard to break the strings. Inullm the master of string breaking, and no string has broken yet, so thats pretty good if ya ask me. |
