I wish I could have played my guitar for more than a short time before they had to be replaced in order to rate them better. but since they kept snapping I cant offer a rating. I WILL NOT be buying this brand again. |

Within an hour of playing them the 3rd (or G ) string snapped at the nut! a bum string I thought, so I changed it with a new G out of the seccond pack and it also snapped within 15 min of playing. These strings are absoloute garbage. |

Itnulls the elixir strings they are complete garbage, save your money, donnullt say you havennullt been warned!! |

I purchased the Phosphor Bronze Elixir acoustic guitar strings (light, .012-.053) from GuitarCenter in Memphis, TN, in early January, null06... I had been playing the regular Elixir strings (light) with the "original polyweb coating" (purple box... around $14)for about 3 years and so i was ready for a change...

These new(?) Phospher Bronze have a slightly different coating on the strings... I had been playing the original polyweb coated strings, where as these are coated with an "ultra thin Nanoweb" coating... The box states that the Nanoweb coating "prevents contamination and corrosion from invading the strings Critical Zone of Tone"... I donnullt really care about all the clever lanquage and i certainly cant tell ya what exactly is on these strings; but he bottom line is this: the sound is incredible... the tone is sick... I have almost exclusively played an Ibanez AE F18 for the last three years, and the difference in tone quality with these strings is unbelievable... I really cannullt put it into words... they are making this $400 Ibanez play like a $1200 Martin... |

These strings are above and beyond any I have played in the past... I have been playing guitar for about five years, which i guess is not all that long; but these strings play, sound, stay in tune, emit a solid, lasting tone, as well as, just look better than any former elixir strings i have used... |

worth the money... i really cant say enough about these strings... I usually spend most of my time playing my Gibson Les Paul Studio, which is just a fantastic guitar all the way around; but i havent picked it up in a couple of weeks because of the tone and sound my much cheaper ibanez acoustic is producing, thanks to these new strings... |

I havennullt played with these strings enough to judge there durability; but I assume they are like all the elixir strings; which i have found to hold up very well... I have no problem forking over a little extra money for elixir strings... I have always gotten my moneys worth from there products... |

You have nothing to lose by trying these babies out... I assure you, these strings will give you more confidence in your playing, because they simply sound better, which of course makes your playing sound better... the string noise is minimal and your fingers will just slide smoothly up and down the neck... If you have trouble with barre chords (as far as getting every string to ring out clearly, as i certainly did for the first few years i played) then these strings are for you... simply put, they will make you a better player... |
