I traded in my Fender Strat (Mexican), Tom Delonge signature seires, as a down payment. I payed $250 on top of the trade in. (The old strat had the phrase [blink 182 sucks a$$] carved into it with a knife complements of a friend of mine.)

  Features

The only real notable features on this guitar are the set neck and the floyd rose (liencesd) tremlo. The neck is constructed well and the floyed rose tremlo...is...well..its licesnsed. (micro tuners are not that high of quality)

  Playability

It does play extremly well! The main reason i bought this guitar. very slick and smooth neck and frets. Sweat does slow down the back of the neck, but just wipe it off youll be fine.

  Quality

Overall for the price its of great quality. The pickups are great for non-actives and dont give much feedback. (if you want it itnulls still there, just put it up close to your amp).

  Durability

well i havent dropped this thing or smacked it on my drummers head yet, but it does seem pretty solid. there is plenty of woood in the body and neck, and all the hardware seems very solid.

If you want a good axe for emo/metal/punk/industrial and want to spend about $500 or so, this is your guitar.

Music123.com, December 2004, 419.00 USD (free shipping!!)

  Features

Controls are lacking: It has only volume, tone, and a 3-way pickup switch. The Floyd Rose Bridge is sweet. It has these three metal plates that screw in on the nut. This helps to keep the guitar in tune longer than most, making it a most reliable guitar. The EMG HZ-4 pickups are great. I lowered the neck pickup and raised the bridge pickup. This yeilded the most desireable sound for me (clean neck pickup for solos and a distorted bridge pickup for chords/rhythm).

  Playability

It sounds better than a strat for heavy stuff. If you are NOT into metal/punk/etc. you would be better off with a strat. I was able to modify the pickup highths to achieve crisp cleanness or heavy distortion. The only upgrade someone could want is to chang to either an EMG85/81 combo or an EMG81/81 combo. The neck can become sticky with sweat, but it is not major and does not impede playing much. The frets are also easy to see.

  Quality

Sound quality is almost perfect (EMG 81s would be perfect). I have not noticed any noise generation, YAY! For heavy music, this guitar blows away the competition. It is hard for a strat to compare, unless you like a cleaner tone. I can get a good clean tone from it, but its strongest feature is the distortion, which is great.

  Durability

This guitar is most durable. As I mentioned before, it has these metal plates which help to keep the guitar in tune. They do, however make tuning difficult untill you are used to them. This guitar is definitely steady enough for live gigs. Since the stock pickups are passive, they are most reliable. I would recommend getting two of these guitars, if you are in a band...One, leave with the stock passive pickups, the other, upgrade to the EMG-81 active set. The passives make a great backup guitar

  Overall

This is an excellent guitar! It looks killer on stage, especially the silver color. This is the same guitar that "Balsac the Jaws of Death" of GWAR is pictured with in the ESP catalogue. If you like GWAR...you can have the guitar that Balsac used for the catalogue shot :). This guitar lived up to all of my expectations. I probably will get a better one, but this will work for me for a long time. This is a great buy. Definitely worth the money.

This guitar looks like it could be played by one of the Goblins of Moria (LOTR) and used as a weapon by the Urik-Hai (Looks demonic and is tough as stone). I got black model - MAN what a finish!!! Itnulls like staring into Galadrialnulls Mirror (Alright, enough hobbitine references...)

-Just picking it up reassures you that itnulls no weakling

  Durability

  Playability

It has a very good sound not as good as fenders like the stratacaster or telecaster boy i wish i had one lol but i gets me from cord to cord its easy to see frets and cords tho if you have skinny fingers it helps this guitar is a very good product
