I played it in a guitar store in Farmville, Virginia. It was not in "Axis Music". I dont know what they wanted for it as it was an off the shelf item. I am guessing it would have been around 100.00 USD.

  Features

Very simple pedal, just plug it in and play. It doesnt have knobs, or anything to really configure. It is just a very simple straight forward wah-wah pedal. It has a very heavy chasis though. The chasis is extremely heavy for a pedal. It feels like a large rock in your hand. It is made solid though.

  Playability

This is definitely not my style of pedal. It didnt have that screaming wah effect to it. It sorta sounded like a smooth wah, nothing heavy. It was okay, but i would go with a Zakk Wyld or Slash Signature wah for metal. If you play funk, jazz, blues, any of that area it may be good for you.

  Quality

It was okay for sound, nothing to die fore. It had okay action, it didnt generate noise though thats all i really give it. Gave a pure wah feel, but not for hardcore metal fans.

  Durability

I am not sure because i didnt not buy this item. By the looks of how heavy it was and how solid it was built i would say its pretty durable. It doesnt have any adjusting you really can do for it. I may use it in a concert, i doubt it though. It worked though, not sure about if it is reliable, its dunlop so it should be.

  Overall

Its okay if you like smooth wah. Not a good idea for hardcore wah lovers, If you love hardcore wah go with a zakk wylde wah or a really vintage wah. This one isnt much for modern metal or vintage metal. I consider vintage metal like pantera, metallica, and things in that area. So if you are into that kind of metal then i would suggest trying it out, but i wouldnnullt buy it unless you try it first.

I bought this from guitar center a while ago and really like it. i also have a MORLEY BAD HORSIE 2, although the morley is a little smoother(and adjustable) I still like the sweep that this thing produces. I have heard that it affects youre tone because there isnnullt true bypass but i havnnullt had a problem with it. i would also like to point out that it works better with some distortion (or else you will hear a large transition in volume).

  Features

I think that there are of course week points, like the fact that you cannullt changs the Q at all, and the pedal is kind of hard to move. It is a very harsh pedal (sound wise) if you play metal like me it sounds killer but if you want a clean tone i wouldnnullt recommend it

  Playability

The pedal is the biggest problem i like the spring loaded ones better, but that is just my opinion

  Quality

I have no fear that it will ever break other than the occasional pot change. My dad has a cry baby from the early 70nulls and it still works good

  Durability

You cannullt get much more durable

  Overall

I chose this one because at the time i didnnullt have alot of money. It totally was what i expected it to be (a good wah). I have a better one but i donnullt think that i will ever get ris of this one

i got mine about 2 months back...bought it from a local music shop for 65 dollars.

  Features

its worth every penny...really...the wah sound is excellent...put a fuzz before the wah and you have the Hendric sound...and not Hendric...its awsome to play Clapton and Slash...amazing how good the solo of sweet child of mine or Whole lotta love sound with this...

  Playability

like i said...EXCELLENT...it does more than i thought it would...the sound is just soooooooo sweet

  Quality

its perfect if younullre looking for agood wah sound which is not that expensive...add some distortion and it will blow you away...

  Durability

its a tank...seriously...inullve dropped it...stomped on it and it still runs...

  Overall

every guitar player should have it...its just that good...

I bought it at Sam Ash music about half-a-year ago for $99, i do believe. Best money inullve ever spent on an effect.

  Features

Itnulls your basic wah pedal. It gives a very full wah effect when you know how to use it. Itnulls only down side is that the switch that turns the wah on and off is a little touchy.

  Playability

I thought the Crybaby would do more than it really does. But itnulls just your normal wah pedal. Inullve come to adore this thing ever since. The VOX may be more what younullre looking for if you want the Hendrix/Clapton sound. But this pedal is great just to goof around with.

  Quality

Again, itnulls a basic wah. It sounds like a wah pedal should. The further you put your foot down the higher the wah. This pedalnulls range of tone may be higher than some others. I pluged my Strat into the Crybaby and even THEN there wasnnullt any hum. That impressed me a lot.

  Durability

You could huck this thing at a wall and it wouldnnullt break. The only thing you may need to do is oil the lever. This wah could take constant abuse for a day and it would still hold up to the Dunlop name.

  Overall

My overall opinion on this wah-wah pedal is that itnulls great to have and practice on. For a beginer, itnulls a great start out. I chose this one because it cost less than the VOX and it still had a great sound range. I may move up to a VOX sometime when i use wah-wahs more in my playing.

Inullve only used a Dunlop in the past, Mine is by Thomas Organ (Vox), the inventors. Donnullt remember where I got mine or how much. If Original is in the name of most anything then it probably isnnullt the original.

  Features

Not as good as mine, but quite good. If you have a couple years to search for a Vox Cry Baby before you need one, take the time. Otherwise, get a Dunlop. You probably wonnullt know the difference without side by side comparing both.

  Playability

One reviewer said the Cry Baby doesnnullt have the Hendrix sound, but it does because itnulls what he used. In the mid null60s when I started playing there were no other makes of wah-wah pedals I know of, although he used a Vox like I do.

  Quality

Never compared it to a Worley or any new imitations.

  Durability

Donnullt know about the Dunlop. Inullve had my Thomas for 25 years and it still works great. I had to replace the tone pot once and the rubber feet gave out so I had to replace them.

  Overall

Ya cannullt beat the original. I use the wah pedal on my steel guitar and Inullve used it on my Dobro. The sounds are wild. Get one and have fun.

I bought this at a local music store in halifax and i paid i think 149.99.

  Features

It is a good pedal with good sound except that I find it gets way to loud and high pitched when you push the pedal too far forward. The pedal is also hard to get a good "WAH" going because it is too hard to rock back and forth. Its also really weird how i can hear the radio when it is tilted all the way forward. It is the perfect pedal if you are just starting up a band.

  Playability

most of the time I can reach desired results but sometimes it tends to give in.

  Quality

It really gives a good wah that is to great and actualy hurts your ears to play with.

  Durability

I would take this on the stage. definitely.

  Overall

It is truly a great buy but iim sure that you could do better for a little more dough.

i got mine at a music shop in the poconos 6 years ago, it still is amazing me. i got it for $79.00 on a sale. i have no regrets.

  Features

it doesnt have many features, just your basic wah. thats what it was made for and thats what itnulls great for. no weak spots for me. i like the fact that there is no spring, it gives me a chance to leave it half way through and keep that odd sound.

  Playability

i can go above and beyond my desired results with this pedal. when i got it, i figured it was just like the rest, but it was far from it. any sound i need i can get from it. nothing wrong with playability.

  Quality

it generates a little noise when bass is out, but not much. it sounds great and plays better than all others. it has close to no effects except for wah.

  Durability

out of all the years ive had the crybaby, ive never neeed to screw with it. it is great for live gigs. hell, hendrix used one, it must be. no real adjustments can be made. its a pedal and a button. its made of metal, good luck breaking it.

  Overall

i suggest anyone to go buy this pedal, no matter what style you play. i just chose it at first because hendrix, slash and clapton played crybabys. its a great move on their behalf. i must say this one of, if not the best, thing dunlop has ever done.

marcus music, belfast, n.ireland.....?70

  Features

bad points... u need to click it down to turn it on rather than touch sensitive, ther isnt any other features with it like contour wah, other than that its good

  Playability

it reaches standards yes, but the likes of the morley wah would be a better option

  Quality

it isnt the greatest wah sound ive heard, but i suppose it depends on the amp as well. but it does the job

  Durability

its good enough for gigs etc, the only bad thing is its not supplied with a power supply but u can buy one seperate, other than that its sound

  Overall

id say if ur wanting a cheap wah wah thats reasonable in every field, eg quality, durabilty... i would deffinately suggest the cry baby

I got this from Sound Investments in Arkansas in December of null03 for $100. The price is about $30 higher than Musicians Friend, but the people at the store are really helpfull.

  Features

Its just w wah-wah pedal. No features, just the origional. Its not like all these fancy pedals where you can tweak them and sound real good with a lot of distortion.

  Playability

You have to practice a lot to get a really good wah technique. This does great as long as you donnullt want to play really heavy metal. But you cannullt get that distinct Slash or Hammet wah sound. This works great for old Hendrix and Clapton stuff. Its modeled after the origional, and sounds like it.

  Quality

It just sounds great. like I said, doesnnullt work good with a lot of bass heavy distortion. I mean, power amp distortion sounds good, but itnulls bad when you turn your guitar on all bass along with heavy distortion.

  Durability

Its played good for as long as Inullve had it, about 6 months. The 9 volt battery lasts a long time, even if you use it a lot. Inullve dropped it several times and it still sounds great.

  Overall

Great for classic wah riffs. Very good except for heavy, heavy metal. Use it for that late 60nulls and 70nulls stuff. Overall, very good value.
