I bought mine a year and a half ago new from Guitar Center for the store price of $350 so Inullve had time to experience all this amp has to offer. I have used it to record, play live, and just practice in my basement.

  Features

This thing has some awesome features. First and foremost the 3 channel operation really sets it apart from other amplifiers because almost no other company or amp has this. It has one clean channel where you can get crystal clear sounds, a rhythm channel where you can get a harder or grungier type of distortion, and a solo channel where you can reach a sick amount of distortion for solos or powerful rhythm leads. Some people say that the distortion on this thing can be weak but I guarentee that if you actually work the knobs that they have on every single specific channel you can get the exact amount that you need. The built in "reverb" effect provides a very nice touch too. Some reverb pedals can cost over $100. The footswitch that controls all these settings makes it easy to go from one sound to another.

  Playability

As far as in concerned, being a very versitle guitarist, this thing can get me just what I need in volume, tone, durability. Other amps, even "higher quality" amps, have burnt out when mine still stood tall. Although not as loud as larger stacks, that appears to be itnulls only real shortcoming to me but thats to be expected from a combo amp.

  Quality

The XT120r can get you everything from a solid clean sound to ear bleeding distortion. It hasnnullt had an issue yet with too much feedback (and I sometimes set the gain to 10) and the pitch hasnnullt been too high. I think this is one of the best in itnulls class.

  Durability

It is now just over a year and a month since I first purchased this amp so it has already proven itnulls durablility to me over the test of time. Once you get all your settings right they just seem to stay in that one tone. The rest depends on your guitar. It performs beautifully during live gigs too. Although it doesnnullt have as loud a kick as the larger stacks that are available, if you know what your doing it could be just as good.

  Overall

This thing is my baby. I have been through thick and thin, from punk-rock to metal, and all over Jersey with this thing and right now I have no complaints. It has all the features I need, it has sufficiant volume, and I got a good price for it all. Someday inullll upgrade to a very similar half stack version of this amp but as of now it fits the jobs inullve put it to.

I bought this amp down at guitar center in nc, about 2 months ago , I paid 299 i got a deal on it!.the orignal price was 349.99,

  Features

The dist. is a little weak, and it came with a 3 botton switch board which is pretty cheap you cant really stomp on it like i wanna.

  Playability

this and needs to be a little bit better if your looking for effects you should pay 30$ more and get the same thing but with the effects.

  Quality

the sound is good on clean, the dist. if a little weak, it has a lota noise when u go loud with it, and if i could bring it back i would trade it for the fender frontman 212r

  Durability

This amp is very loud you dont need it louder the the 3 notch, but is you do it seems to get a rattling noise, not good. it ok for small gigs.

Frontman 212r would be the better choice
