I bought a Cruiser CJ-400 Metal Outfit a little over a week ago from Littlewoods Catalogue for ?189.99! This included a Crafter Cruiser CJ-400, Rocket 10 watt practice amplifier, strap, gig bag, spare strings, plectrum and Guitar -> Amp cable...
The guitar pickups are... -Humbucker (Neck) -Single Coil (Mid) -Humbucker (Bridge)
22 frets with mother of pearl dot fret markers... therenulls also side markings along the top side of the neck. 1 Volume and 1 Tone Controls with a 5 way selector switch. Comes equiped with a Vintage Tremolo bridge and Half Moon tuning pegs with Crafter engraved into the back of them.
The company has been around since 1978, but went by the name of "Sungeum" until InJae Park joined the company in 1986, when he designed the new breed of guitars and also changed the name of the product to "Crafter" to suit the European market!

The features of this guitar are outstanding, although maybe another tone control wouldnnullt go amiss, I wouldnnullt change anything about it... |

Tapping, Pitch bending, Harmonics and Vibrato are much easier on the Cruiser than on my Strat, and the fingerboard is smooth and fast... Although the action is a little higher than I am used to, a little ajustment should take care of that. |

This guitar has the best sustain than any I have ever played, and sounds emmense when cranked up with lots of distortion... With the right amp settings, the pickups can sound very acoustic. In positions 2 and 4 on the pickup selector, there is a slight hum from electromagnetical devices around my home, but in 1,3 and 5, itnulls pretty much silent. The volume pot sounds a little scratchy when played through my Computer directly, but through the amp, itnulls clear and consistant... |

Since Inullve had the guitar, i have played for around 3 hours a day on it, and went out of tune once or twice, but that was due to the tremolo bridge screws not being tightened fully... Since tightening the screws, I havennullt had to ajust the tuning at all.

Crafter is indeed one of the smaller (Quality) guitar manufacturers around, but definately deserve recognition!
I chose this guitar because of the Crafter name, and the fact that it was well in with my budget. The paintwork on the guitar is Excellent and the chrome finishings shine up really nicely! As far as considering buying a better guitar, A Gibson SG Special wouldnnullt go amiss, but my Crafter CJ-400 Will do just nicely up until then! |

It has many good features which sound really good! and to compare the features of the cruiser to any other unreallyexpensive guitar, then the cruiser would win. for features i definately recomend this guitar. |

compared to others the cruiser performs greatly, and it never makes you want to desert it and forget about it. whenever i want to practice or play at a school gig with my band, i look at my two guitars and i no doubt choose my cruiser. the bridge is placed a little high, but that is perfect for me. |

its quality is great and is better than a normal average guitar. id rate its quality about 9/10. crafter have worked really hard on getting the quality to sound like a ?1000 or more guitar. |

It is very durable, and it doesnt need frequent adjusting, you just have to do that every while or so. definately more durable than a fender. make sure you be careful with it though if you dont like damaging the paintwork. try not to drop it. it wont break if you do, but it will make a little tiny dint in the paintwork. |

bought a crafter cruiser for £115 (I live in the UK), about 210$ fro my local music shop, n its ok. Just ok. It makes nice noise, n it sounds good, but its its build quality i found floors with. For instance it was 85% Grade A wood, the other 15% was a muddle of cheap rate $h!té. It was a little over priced for my liking. One other problem i encounted was that it went through top E strings like Germans go through sausages. Itnulls diabolical. At one point i was having to buy three at a time to cover myself. I play at a few gigs in and around my area and so i need to be covered, My other guitar is a Squire Strat, and that is a beauty. No problems (touch wood) But the Crafter is a nice piece, the sound it produces is sweet as a nut, A generally lovely guitar hampered only by its thrist to kill strings!

Whammy Board - lovely, creates a great effect. Bridge - a little too high for my liking, i had to have it lowered profesionaly. Strings - Great APART from Top E. they tend to die when used. Fret Board - Lovely to use. Nice feel and perfect depth
Like i said, 90% of its lovely, but a few details tend to make me angry. |

LOUD. Its abe to make more than a racket if thrashed. Not quite as good as my Squire and unable to match in sound quality, but dont get me wrong it is still a fantastic electric |

I purchased this item from a littlewoods catalogue for £200 .. approximately $380 maybe more im not sure ... it looked better than all the others and looked like something i would like .

this item is to be honest fairly standard , it could be classed as an ibanez wannabe . but the weird thing is . this wannabe ... is very good . in all honesty for the price you pay . your are getting allot of guitar for your money . the pickups are decent with a reasonable amount of sustain the colour choices are nice . mine is the metallic red colour although i do wish white was an option .. i have a thing for white guitars ... the headstock is nice also . the tuning pegs even have the crafter logo embossed into them . which is truly something of class. nothing very unique other than the fact not many people seem to have them . if you buy one of these guitars you are joiing a fairly exclusive club . the crafter brand deserves more respect than it gets . |

ok so it isnt an ibanez . but if you simply cant afford those pricey JEMS and RRwhatevers , then this guitar is a great compromise . it offers versitility . can play anything from slow melodic clean finger picking notes . to all out hell raising metal . |

it performs nicely has a nice sound and definately generates noise . to compare itto other brands like ibanez etc would in farness be totally cruel . it wasnt built to compete with them . it was built for those who cant afford those pricey names . it was built to sound great and leave money in your wallet . and it did its job great . sounds awesome . plays awesome i have the action on mine down to almost 1.5mm and dont have any fret buzz ... go buy one you fools hehe. |

this item is very reliable . i have had it almost a year now and it is pretty much exactly how it was when i got it . i have dropped it about 5 times (i blame my strap )and there are 1 or 2 tiny cracks in the paint . but if your more careful than me and have a better strap hehe then it will last a great length of time and look great . definately steady enough for live gigs . |

im always considering better guitars . i started right at the bottom with a Encore strat copy . you really cant get much worse than those peices of s**t . the crafter was my 2nd electric and so far i am VERY pleased with it . in future i expect to more on to single cutaway models but until i have the money to buy a Gibson Les Paul (White Custom) i will be happy to play this guitar :) . for more info on this and more crafter guitars check the site . www.crafterguitars.com theyre great guitars :) |
