| | I decided to rate Ryan Cabrera's album as excellent because I just love his songs, his voice, and his GREAT looks... hehehe!!! I could tell that he really put his heart into every song. He really wants what he has today, and even more...
The only downside to his album is that almost every song sound alike. The great part is every song has a different message to convey so the "monotonous" melody kind of fades away.
Out of all the songs in his album, I don't like "Let's Take Our Time" and "Shame on Me" that much. I feel like it's not his thing to write something like that. The songs don't fit him too well.
The rest of the songs in his album are REALLY GREAT!!! If you want something about love, listen to "True" and "She's". Unfortunately, these are two of the three mellow songs in his album. If you want to be lifted up, listen to "Illusions" and "Blind Sight". Most of his songs are up tempo, which is good. What he lacks are the ballads, the mellow songs. That's I had expected to listen to when I bought his album. I hope, if ever Ryan reads this, in his next album, there would be more songs like "True" and "Take It All Away". It really highlights his soft, romantic, gentlemanly side.
All in all, "Take It All Away" is a great record. If you are looking for a rock album which has a soft, acoustic tone, then this is the perfect album for you. I've been listening to it for more than a month now and I never get tired of listening to it.
