This is a classic pedal. The people in the previous two reviews are clearly novices. It's not an extremely versatile pedal, but it can give a good amp/guitar set up alot more bite.

I like this pedal more than an 808 personally. I have the original japanese version, i'm not really sure about the taiwanese models. The person who posted the last review said it wasn't good for extreme sounds...that's ridiculous. I play experimental and when ran in conjunction with the distortion channel of my Vintage Sunn Beta lead through a Marshall 4x12 and my Gibson SG, this thing gets plenty heavy.

  Playability

There are alot of boutique pedals out there that are better. Needless to say this pedal isn't a Fulltone Fulldrive. But for the price, it's by far the best overdrive in the world in my opinion.

I bought it from long & mcquade for 65 dollars not including tax so with tax about 70-80 dollars

  Features

it is yellow. there are level, tone and drive knobs, the pedal, output/input jacks, and a spot for a boss pda adaptor. it switches from clean to dirty very cleanly, no interference or cutting out. it takes 9 volt batteries or the pda adaptor but it only uses one battery. it is a pain in the back to unlplug it every time u r done using to save battery life tho. i cant think of very many bad things about it is quite solidly built

  Playability

it works very well. it does what its intended to do plus a little bit. i cant compare it to any other pedals but it is a very good selection and it is at a affordably set price range.

  Quality

very good quality and clean exchanges with a nice durable package. all it does is go from clean to dirty.

  Durability

umm well i havent used it live yet but i think it would stand up for going into a blistering solo pretty well and it is very durable. no adjusting is needed except for loudness, tone and the drive

i choose it mostly for the price but it is a good pedal and i wouldnt have chosen sompin else.
