bought it about 5 years ago for ?300 second hand... not sure why i bought it really.. wasnt particularly into metal just thought the look of it was awesome.

  Features

Although many found this guitar uncomfortable to play while sitting down... considering the shape, i found it relatively easy to play.. no problems really.

The points are clearly vulnerable to damage, so chips and scratches are pretty much what you would expect with constant play.

I found the stock pickups a little harsh and in dire need of a change, i personally couldnt get anything good from them. I also found the lic floyd rose to be a joke.. bad design, that put me off floating trems for a while. The neck is heavily vanished which is not my preference but apart from that plays ok.

  Playability

The shape is unique.... to have that unique shape sacrifices playability which is obvious. Itnulls a cliche but this guitar is for metal/kiss type bands on stage making a riot.

  Quality

i found the sound quality a bit crap tbh, i think that was a combination of shit pickups and an unconventional body shape plus a bolt on necck etc etc. I personally would take a strat any day

  Durability

inulld guess it would be pretty reliable being a mahogany body... although as i said before chips galore by the spikes. As for tuning i found the trem and nut a joke to use and pretty much useless.

  Overall

I sold mine 2 years later for the same price (yeah!).. if i could go back and not buy this guitar, that is exactly what i would have done and would probably be a better player today, as this guitar pretty much put me off playing for a while.

I bought my BC Rich Beast almost a year ago at a music store down the street, called Arbutus. I bought it for $1100 although they were trying to get $1300 out of me.

  Features

Well after all this time of owning it, it hasnnullt broken or in anyway lost its sounds. As it concers durability I would say itnulls one of the better guitars I own. BC Rich knows how to make them. This beutiful piece of work isnnullt just long lasting but one of the best guitars for metal music out there (within the price range of an average person). This thing sure can roar with the right amount of over drive. Although it can unleash hell, it can also tune it down a bit. (But not Too much). But if younullre a fan of bending, than this guitar is not for you. Bending the strings on this guitar isnnullt too easy and achieved minimal sounds. However, while this guitar sounds great and can stay that way, the playability of it is quite bad. Sitting and playing this guitar is out of the question unless you donnullt mind a sharp corener in your gut. Even while on a strap this machine still can be pretty dangerous. But it is fairly light, Inullll give it that.

  Playability

With a fairly thin neck and light weight body this guitar is a very playable instrument. Although it is a big uncomfortable, younullll find itnulls well worth it. Just donnullt try sitting down with this mother or els younullll get a corner in your gut. But on the other hand you got a rather devistating weapon if the crowd gets rowdy ;).

  Quality

Well as it concerns heavy distortion and roaring attributes (which is what itnulls built for) itnulls awsome. the dual BDSM pickups provide for moer than enough kick. But as comparing this guitar to my others guitars comes... It isnnullt very easy in my oppinion. I have a very wide range of guitars from bluesy Artcores to rockers like Airlines. But I can tell without a shadow of a doubt, in itnulls field it is one of the best I think, casting its counter-parts, the warlock and mockingbird in itnulls shadows.

  Durability

Well I bought my Beast almost a year ago and I play it everyday. After all this time of owning it it hasnnullt faltered in its ability to roar like the best of them. Although I hanvnullt done TOO many live gigs, what I have done its taken me through no problem. While the guitar needs tunning every now and again, like all guitars do, it stays in tune long enogh that you would get angry.

  Overall

Hm Inulld say over all this guitar is deffinetley worth its price, seeing as though it has dropped significantly since I purchased it. The roaring sound and light-weight body make up for its uncomfortableness. If you like metal younullll absolutley adore this little monster.

Ok, i bought my BC Rich Beast from a local music store called Rimmers Music, i paid 150 pounds for it in a clearence sale.

  Features

as soon as i picked up this guitar it just felt great. it has some excellent sound on it and like the dude above said, it does produce quite a lot of echo. it has a three way selectore switch and a basic tone and volume control. it has a fixed bridge, NOT a tremolo system which is fine for me because i hate tremolo systems unless itnulls a floyd rose. Is it Unique? hell yes, the radical shape is like no other and put it this way, if you want to buy this guitar for doing gigs and the like, i can almost guarantee that you will need to buy a new gig bag because it is incredibly wide, all in all, it produces a kick ass sound, perfect for metal.

  Playability

This guitar is everything i expected it to be, great sounding, devilish looks and overall just sheer quality, i wouldnnullt expect anything less from BC Rich. the guitar has 2 humbucker pickups and is very good for tapping and hammer-ons.

  Quality

This guitar produces some brilliant new century hardcore and power metal sounds, it is also pretty damn loud and has a hint of echo.

  Durability

This guitar is very reliable, the strings go right through the body of the guitar via little holes and not through the bridge and therefore techniques such as palm muting do not make the guitar go out of tune. i rarely have to tune this guitar. i would not recommend this guitar for using at gigs as it has a lot of rather sharp and pointy edges and therfore jumping around and crowd surfing whilst playing it may earn you a law suit from the person whonulls eye you just gouged out.

  Overall

Overall, this guitar just kicks ass, it looks great, sounds great and will earn you the admiration of the crowd, and the envy of other players. if there is one thing to criticise it woulde be that it can be quite painful to use whilst sitting down as a few of the pointed edges can dig into your chest and legs.

I got my Beast at the Music Exchange Shop in Broadheadsville, PA for $565.00. it was not previously used. it did not come with anything but the case.

  Features

This guitar has only 2 knobs. 1 for tone and 1 for volume. Its extemely easy to control. The guitar has a wah bar, so thats a great feature. There arent many weak points. The guitar has many sharp ends on it which makes it a little bit dangerous if there are infants in the house.

  Playability

I can reach the desired results with the item. it has alot of echo though. If your into the industrial metal sound, its great. If you like rock and roll or punk, you may want to get a Fender Stratocaster, a Gibson Les Paul or an SG. It is one of the loudest guitars i have ever heard. I would think if you play heavy metal or industrial or something along those lines, this would be the perfect guitar. I, on the other hand, like rock and roll.

  Quality

This guitar has good sound quality. as i said earlier its loud and echos alot. it generates alot of noise. i would say it performs better than alot of other guitars.

  Durability

This guitar has not needed any repairs since Inullve had it. If your looking for a guitar with a high ammount of nullendurancenull, this is it.

  Overall

I chose this guitar because i could afford it. It does live up to my expectations. i expected to have an echo and i expected it to be loud. I would still prefer a Gibson. i like rock and roll and B.C. Rich is an industrial guitar. I would say that B.C. Rich is the second or third best guitar company out there. i love this guitar.
